Munitus Insurance Limited was established in 2019 as part of the Beat Group, underwriting Professional Liability business as Beat Syndicate 4242. Munitus has a highly experienced, specialist underwriting team with a strong background across a broad range of Professional Liability classes of business.

The underwriting team is complemented by a first-class claims operation with extensive experience in handling major Professional Liability claims.

Our long-term relationship focus and excellent reputation for client service and delivery in a fast-changing business environment is further underpinned by impeccable financial strength.

Clients benefit from Lloyd’s A (Excellent) rated paper from A.M. Best with policyholders also gaining the additional comfort from the Lloyd’s central fund.

Meet the Team

Kevin McCool

Chief Executive Officer


Kevin founded Munitus in 2019. After beginning his career at JH Minet, Kevin joined Lexington London (AIG) in 1996 and has largely specialized in underwriting US Professional Liability since then with a particular focus on Architects & Engineers, Lawyers and Accountants. Kevin held a variety of senior underwriting and management positions at AIG including Head of UK Professional Indemnity & Cyber in addition to his management of the Lexington London Professional Liability business.

Adam Moore

Chief Underwriting Officer


Adam co-founded Munitus in 2019. He has over 18 years’ experience working in the London insurance market. Prior to joining Munitus he was Vice President of Professional Liability Lexington London (AIG). In this role Adam was responsible for the US Professional Liability underwriting team, providing lead underwriter expertise across a range of US E&O sub classes of business, including Architects & Engineers, Contractors, Lawyers and Accountants.
